Hi Roleta. I hope this message finds you well and in good health. I wanted to let you know that I recently accepted a position with [a major retailer] and I start there this Saturday! It's an entry level Customer Service position, but I'm happy to now have my foot in the door. The store has been much busier than forecasted since it opened, so hopefully another Supervisor position will be added before the winter season that I can apply for internally. Also, there is no Assistant Store Manager (yet) at this store, so with continued growth that position could be added in the future as well.

These look great! I don't see anything that is in need of correction. I really appreciate this. As for the federal resume ... I will be coming back to get this from you. Your experience in writing and in the government field is very apparent. I'm so very glad I found you. I will be referring many to you in the future. You are real easy to talk to and have been a huge personal (much needed) boost back into the work world. Thank you so very much Roleta for all you've done. I can't express enough how much I truly appreciate it.

Thank you so much! My resume is a brilliant work of art! Very professional and well written. You brought my business profile to life and made me realize I am a unique individual with exceptional true value and self-worth. What an ego booster! This is a great investment for my future career and you truly are the expert! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!...Gina / BS graduate / Working Mom who landed a job as a salaried sales manager in the food distribution industry. Mr. ABC called me on Tuesday. He spoke with Mr. EFG from XYZ* [a prominent medical research company], who said the resume looked great, and he is now looking for a position to put me in. I am so excited! Hopefully, I will be working there soon. Thank you again for a brilliant resume!

Wordbusters Note: Although company XYZ is reported to be one of the best places to work, Gina opted for a company that gave greater leadership opportunities, has a better reputation for retaining employees (XYZ has frequent layoffs), and that is located within a mile of her home.
Just wanted you to know how appreciative I am to have done business with you. You did a great job on my federal resume. You are a true professional. Your personal touch made the whole process painless...I will continue to recommend your business to others looking for a professional. Thanks again.

Leaving my current position has been a sad and difficult situation. You certainly have given impetus to my job hunt and helped me feel good about my work...I just did not know how to do it. I will definitely let Mr. X [her lawyer] know what an extra effort you made and what a great job you did. I will let everyone know about you.

I really like how you changed the cover letters to reflect the requirements of different schools...Also, how you managed to inject my teaching philosophy into it...Within 3 days of faxing my resume and cover letter, I was called for interviews by 3 schools. In addition, I was requested to submit a resume for a very interesting grant project for troubled youths. Now all I have to do is decide which offer to accept.

I do not know how you do it. It is as if you lived my life and walked in my shoes. That is why I call back every year [to help with my promotion and career documentation, as English is my second language].
...Pat / Dept of Transportation Manager, GS-11 / California
Wordbusters Note: As an American born abroad, I am extremely appreciative of anyone who takes the plunge into the English language. In addition to my native English (USA), I speak and understand a little Japanese (my other native tongue) and have traveled extensively in Japan. I was once fluent in French (can still read Paris Match, translate the occasional web page, and read packaging labels.) I also lived and studied among U.S.-based Indians (Hindu and Muslim). Accents and the faces behind them are fascinating - like masala and curry spices...the more, the tastier. Our common denominator is concern for our careers, our families, our world.
I have been very fortunate to receive my current job [Dept. of Defense] as a result of your federal resume writing skills.
